Performance History: Premiered by the Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble at The Red Box Recording Studio, Belfast. Subsequently performed by Hard Rain at the Ulster Museum, Feb. 2017 and at Queen’s University Belfast, May 2017.

About: The aggressive chords that open the work form the Rondo material of the structure, and are transposed and chromatically saturated until reaching a tense and high-register climax.    

Awards: Third place in the first Peter Rosser Composition Award.
