PRS Open Fund & Jerome Hynes Composer Competition

Delighted to share two exciting announcements for 2023 projects (and there’ll be more to come over the next few weeks or so…) I’m grateful to acknowledge support from the PRS Foundation through their Open Fund for Music Creators, which is supporting the recording and release of my forthcoming album Kraina. Kraina is a CD project of new works for voice and various chamber ensembles, exploring the concepts of home, belonging, and displacement. A collaboration with poets and authors from Poland, Australia, North America, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, the texts set to music examine different angles on our sense of home, or lack of it: from the local, everyday patterns of life to larger movements and global shifts. There’ll be plenty more information to come in 2023 about this project!

I’m also honoured to be the winner of this year’s Jerome Hynes’ Young Composer Competition, run by the National Concert Hall, Dublin. I’ll be writing a new piece for them in 2023. Read their press release here.
